They sit on a hot summer day in the gastgarten under old shaded chestnut trees. directly under them the busy wide drought flows from power plant to power plant. the water-seal gives you wonderful cool - a small ventilator always moves at the river. on this historic bridge head was defended almost exactly 100 years ago, and one would like to think that only the road surface has changed since then. absorb the atmospheric spell, rest, breathe and relax. the happiness seems perfect, and then it comes to eat: when did they have the last scavenger just as much as they dreamed about it? crosse panier, roasted out to a rich brown tone in black. with a delicious peter's whistle and a fresh buckling salad from the garden. or for a change the resch-flauschige pariser variation of a carving, with reis. designer menus you will not find here, haute cuisine is not. but first-class eating as with nuts, honestly and without any superfluous snorkel. a small tip for a familiar: call a day or a few hours earlier and order a backhendlschmaus. then they will know why tripadvisor always wants to know: "is this one of the best dishes ever served in a restaurant?"

At New Year we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay in Carinthia by another night. We booked a room at the Annabrücke Hotel. Although it is only listed on here as a Resturant, we found the room spacious and clean and...reasonably priced considering the time of year. We will definitely stay here again when visiting friends in the area.

For cyclists as well as for fishermen a perfect hit. located directly on the drauradweg and with a very nice terrace you can spend a nice day under chestnut trees. kärntner specialties are good and inexpensive to have. there are also some rooms for overnight.

We have landed with the bike on the search for overnight by chance. we didn't expect anything special. our dinner consisted of mat soup, spinach noodles and ice-spalachinks and was very excellent. our bikes were able to set up in the beautiful fixed room and we got two ez without an extra charge. at any time!
