Custard Cottage - Gouverneur

I grew up in Gouverneur and absolutely loved visiting Custard Cottage for their root beer floats and chocolate vanilla twist cones. Often, when I revisit childhood favorites, they don't quite measure up to my memories. However, Custard Cottage's root beer floats are just as fantastic as I remember. In fact, I went there twice today! I really hope it never changes.

I've been enjoying Custer Cottage ice cream for many years now. This ice cream shop offers a wide variety of choices to satisfy all your dessert cravings.

We always enjoy stopping for ice cream on our trips between Syracuse and Malone! It's delicious! We especially love the unique twist flavors they offer. Plus, there's a bathroom located behind the building and plenty of space for the kids to run around and stretch their legs.

Large Hot fudge Sundae was delicious and big. Staff was ok. Definitely would go back next time in town.

Great service. Love the employees, not only are they friendly and obviously have great ice cream, but they also have amazing food. Even simple things like grilled cheese are to die for. Chicken tenders are def the best in town and it all seems so fresh and delicious.
