The Shack - Gosport

This is a lovely place to have a cuppa and home made rock cake while watching the sea. Friendly staff. However yesterday (Dec 22) we drove 15 miles to get there to find them closed despite their website saying they were open. Very disappointed.

Always good food, husband and friend went back for second helpings. unlucky me couldn't manage anymore.

Great place to stop for a cuppa, what a view. In the winter a warm cup of tea on a walk is always welcome. There is a great range of food offered for such a small kitchen area. Highly recommend the homemade Victoria Sponge. Also if you like geocaching there is a large geocache behind the counter, just ask :

Always a bonus when the shack is open. Simple snacks and reasonable prices. Easter Sunday bacon egg bap, sitting on a sunny beach with a decent brew in a mug. Never had a bad cuppa tea here as it's made in a big pot, nice and strong!

Mid kayak through the solent we noticed this little place right on the beach. We stopped for a coffee and tea which were served in proper china mugs not plastic which was great. Service with a smile as well. We sat on the beach in the autumn sunshine enjoying our drinks before continuing our kayak. Although we didn't stay for food, what we saw being served looked delicious and was complimented by other customers we spoke to. A little gem right on the beach.
