Ocean King Fish - Gosport

I went to this restaurant for the first time today at lunchtime and ordered 2 portions of fish and chips. I was shocked to see the total was £6.70!!! It felt like I was being ripped off. After receiving my order, I was incredibly disappointed. The chips looked like they had been reheated numerous times, they were dry, brown, and in bits rather than proper chips. I was completely disgusted by the quality. I have attached a photo for reference. It will definitely be my last visit, and I strongly suggest avoiding this place at all costs.

Ocean King is hands down the top chippy in Gosport! I regularly use them for both personal orders and large events. I host monthly events that include supper, and everyone raves about how fresh the food is. On average, I order 80 meals and they always arrive together, freshly cooked and piping hot. Many thanks to Cathy and Colin for consistently excellent service!

My son and I were treated to a delicious meal at this restaurant. I enjoyed an OAP special of cod and chips, while my son had the jumbo battered sausage and chips. We also got a sausage for our dog, all for under ten pounds. My cod fillet was large and succulent, served with a wedge of lemon. My son loved the crunchy batter and tasty sausage. The chips were a perfect mix of crunchy and soft. Our dog enjoyed her treat as well. We appreciated the free home delivery with a smile, even though the server was wearing a mask. Stay safe everyone! Lovely portion of fish and chips with curry sauce bought on a whim on way home from work. Chips were cooked just right and fish was extremely tasty with a slice of lemon. Cooked to order so can't really go wrong. No pic cos it didn't stay on the plate long enough!

Overcooked mushy fish, I have never ordered from this fish shop before and being a lover of fish and chips I thought I would give this place a go. How disappointing it was the packaging my fish was in was totally socked in oil opening the packaging the fish was over cooked and very mushy had no flavour what so ever apart from a mass taste of oil, clearly the fish has been taken straight from the fryer and packed. (Not left to rest to drain the oil) the chips were ok but not what I would call a fish shop chip. The bread roll was nice well done to the bakers who made these. Maybe this was a one off reading the other reviews the food normally seems to be of a high standard.
