Lakeside Cafe And - Gosport

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday party at Lakeside Cafe and the staff were incredible and extremely accommodating. The buffet food was delicious. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our evening!! We highly recommend booking this venue.

We enjoyed the Christmas meal, a generous plate of delicious and piping hot food. I highly recommend everyone trying it at least once. I am looking forward to coming back; we are always pleased with our experience. Special thanks to the friendly staff!

Five friends went out for Christmas dinner today and had a fantastic experience. The food was hot, plentiful, and incredibly delicious. This comes as no surprise to two of us who eat at this restaurant every Friday for lunch. We've never had a bad meal here. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is a nice located cafe over the Gosport Boating Lake with views beyond. Walking in was okay, however the 'DJ music set up ' just within was not in keeping with the place. Staff were really friendly and accommodated us (3) on the balcony which was pleasant. Nice little cafe style menu. We all ordered a baguette (approx 7 long) with Sausage Bacon and Egg. This arrived timely. The baguette itself was soft, but the bacon had been pre-cooked and heated in a microwave, and the sausage was 'cheap '. The baguette was cut into 2, we only had 1 slice of bacon 1 sausage and 1 egg. The bacon was only on 1 half and the sausage was cut in half length ways and the egg cut in half, meaning for a measly baguette for the price charged!! This was so disappointing. In addition to this, we asked for tomato sauce and it was bought out in small paper ramekins.....I prefer a bottle (although this is trivial), and for it to be Heinz. Overall, what could be a good, nicely located cafe, has been let down by scrimping and poor produce. Go above and beyond, get local sausages, cook bacon fresh and crispy and improve the quality and portion then you will have repeat custom. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

This is good spot for a café with the view of the pond and the HMS Alliance in background. Good food, great service and a bright and clean space where you felt relaxed to eat and drink at ease.
