It is an old shop located in Kumbalam, a bit off the highway, where you need to take a right turn before the toll booth. It is easily accessible on Google Maps, so no confusion finding it. The place has limited chairs and tables, which are always full with a waitlist of 10-15 people. They serve a combination of Puttu/Kappa with chicken/beef/mutton, and Puttu is their specialty. Shibu chettan manages all the work and the food is mouth-watering. The location is near the lakeside, adding to the charm. The restaurant is open from 9 pm to 3 in the morning. I would love to visit as many times as possible!
Previously a 24-hour establishment catering mainly to fishermen, this shop has now become a popular spot for late-night dining, especially among young people, due to its delicious food and availability. Originally opened by the owner's father in the morning and at night, it is now run solely by Shibu. The shop, located 15km from Palarivattom, is in need of renovation but holds nostalgic memories for many. Situated near the Aroor toll, it can be found down a road towards Kumbalam, with a sign pointing towards the boat jetty. The shop opens around 8:30pm, but it gets quite crowded with 20-25 people waiting for a seat. For a more relaxed dining experience, it is recommended to visit after midnight. The shop is closed on Sundays and Good Friday, opening in the evening and closing in the early hours of the morning, depending on the number of guests. Shibu handles all aspects of the operation, from cooking and cleaning to managing the cash counter and supplies.

Puttu Kada is a traditional Kerala restaurant that serves Puttu with various curries such as Beef, Mutton, Chicken, and Egg. The food is delicious, but the downside is that there are limited seats and a large crowd. The restaurant typically opens at 9:00PM and Shibu Chettan mentioned that it usually stays open until 3-4AM.
