My steak was okay, but I believe that the mashed potatoes were instant (not real). My carrots were practically raw. The service was great. The real problem with AJ’s is the noise level. The restaurant acoustics are really live, possibly due to the concrete floor, wood walls and wood-paneled cathedral ceiling. We could hear people talking, even several tables away. The partial wall between the bar and dining area adds to the noise, with music, TV, and loud talking drifting into the dining area. I have been to this restaurant twice now and have found both experiences painfully loud. I feel bad for the dining room employees, who might face hearing loss over time.

We have been driving past for years and finally got around to going for our birthday dinner and were really pleased with AJ's. Only concern was the sirloin tips were over cooked for medium. However, very tender and tasty anyway. Excellent value and casual dining experience Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
