Heritage Pies & Pastries - GOOLWA

So many vegan options for a standard bakery. the twp meatcakes are incredibly delicious and similar to the animal-based version. all desserts are also great, but they can't walk past the chocolate donut!

A handful of vegan options, clearly listed on one of the counters. faster service, but the staff seemed less than impressed. sold out a little fast. general chocolate in a hot chocolate and have soy/oat/plant milk options.

There are some options for vegans, including sweet tasty. it is a cheap location, has seating opportunities inside and outside and the bakery has an old world charm. the service was somewhat abrupt, so he lost a star there and my torte (lentil and veg) needed something to let it sing. but maybe I should have chosen a Spicer option.

A vegan menu is on the counter. there are 5-6 vegan torts and pasties, vegan chocolate donuts, vegan apple and apricot slice as well as fingerballs.

Usually call into bakery whenever we visit Goolwa always happy with the coffee and service. This weekend stayed in Goolwa whilst at the Goolwa Currency Creek Antique Fair and had breakfast at bakery each morning before we began. The egg and bacon rolls were delicious, filling and great value. I was even more delighted to find that they had worcestershire sauce which I love on my eggs. Hubby went back to pick up lunch each day and our sandwiches were fresh and full of chosen fillings. We also love their fruit and custard buns which are very tasty and stay fresh for quite awhile. Thanks to the boss lady and staff for great food and great service no matter what time of day.
