Black Bear Diner - Goodyear

Visiting this restaurant in the early morning on weekdays is ideal. I ordered breakfast and couldn't finish my plate of food, it was so large. The omelette was huge and came with fresh hash browns and a homemade biscuit that were equally generous in size. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring my coffee was refilled frequently. Overall, everything was perfect. Thank you to the wonderful staff!

My brother and I decided to visit Black Bear Diner while we waited for my car to get serviced at Earnhardt Honda. It was a weekday, so we were surprised by how busy it was - it was Friday, though, so that might be why. Upon arrival, we had to wait around 15+ minutes to be seated for a party of two. They took our information via text, which allowed us to walk around the plaza instead of waiting with everyone else. Once we were seated, our server promptly took our order. I ordered the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito without cilantro or red onion because it was my first time trying it and I didn't want the flavor to be altered. I initially tried to order the cold brew coffee but it looked too milky for my liking, so I opted for hot coffee instead. The burrito was delicious! It could have used a little more salt for my taste, but the flavor was delightful. My brother ordered the cinnamon french toast, which he found enjoyable but a bit too sweet. We also tried the spicy sausage patties, the hobo omelette, and the chili bowl, which were all pictured.

I was initially overwhelmed by the menu at this restaurant, but eventually settled on the All-You-Can-Eat Fish and hush puppies after the waitress mentioned a special double cheese burger with egg. My friends and I decided to feast, and we were not disappointed. The fish was fried perfectly and came out hot each time we ordered more. Our waitress was patient and helped us navigate the menu, making our experience even better. The bear paw logos on everything added a unique touch to the place, and we enjoyed trying all three hot sauces. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal. The food at other tables also looked delicious, adding to the overall positive experience.

A true diner experience, came in on a Saturday and it was pretty busy but still only a 15 minute wait. Parking can get a little tight in the morning. I had the Hobo Joe Omelet and my wife had a regular breakfast. If you like crispy hashbrowns you will have to request it so. The pancakes were by far my favorite, loaded with flavor and fluffy texture. The ham, bacon and sausage were all pretty good. Definitely enjoyed the portion sizes as we were able to share some of our meal with our toddlers. The coffee and food was good but not extraordinary. Again, the portion sizes are what is the key point here. I recommend this spot if you're in the need of a quick breakfast that is above the quality that IHOP or Denny's provides.
