Dropped by on a Sat night and it'll only seat 4 groups. Great Arepa and will definitely be back for more.

Small cafe with friendly staff and the best arepas I've had in Australia! I wish they had a cafe in Sydney.

We purchased an on-line voucher for $10 per person, supposedly a 50% saving, for an arepa, serve of churros and a soft drink, but it would be petty nit-picking to base our review on an over-inflation of the true cost. Candela is located in a tiny shop-front just south of the tram crossing, on the western side of Goodwood Road. Blink and you'll miss it. Parking out the front or adjacent is not recommended, however there is a side road on the eastern side of Goodwood Road when you can safely park. Then, of course, you have to cross the road. Good luck in peak hour traffic. There are a few tables for in-house dining, but we chose the takeaway option.The arepas were tasty, but the serve very small, in fact, not nearly filling enough for an adult, and what we received did not look like the picture on the voucher.... but as is often the case with these on-line vouchers, what you actually get rarely lives up to the promise. The churros, however, hit the spot with the delicious chocolate dipping sauce.Overall an interesting meal of traditional South American cuisine made with love.

Ordered vegetarian arepas, very oily, I do not eat much but this wasn't even enough for me. Staff was late so place wasn't open in time.

Such a hidden gem should be well known but I'm not sure it is. I think it is kept a bit of a secret by many. The place is small with only 4 table sittings and I expect they do a lot of takeaway. The menu is limited but the food is delicious and cheap too. I can recommend the Arepas, Asada Negro and Pepiada being our choices.Give it a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
