Stacey D. This is an old fashion bakery and Deli. They serve great Poboys and Muffilatas. You can custom make a cake with any photo you bring them on a disc. I did it myself. Try it. Eat there or take it out. Tell Pat and Lynn I sent you!
I was the first customer of the day a few weeks ago and received great service and delicious food. I had to wait for someone to come (about 45 seconds) and it took too long to check with my company card (about 90 seconds). The people and the food are great, so the four stars, but it would be five if the experience had been more rational, like the other bakeries I go every week. I know this may seem a bit bad, but if I had been there when it was busy, I know that the delays would have been much more frustrating.
All the ladies were friendly and attentive. Pastries and donuts are fresh and good. Roast beef poboy is really good with the gravy except could use alil' more meat even if they had to charge $2 more for it. I recommend the place to anyone.
I purchase a king cake, some scones and some raisin oatmeal cookies last Friday. Everything was excellent. The king cake was especially good. The icing was made with sour cream and was out of this world. My wife brought most of the king cake to work and it was devoured by her co-workers in less than 30 minutes. They were highly complimentary of the special brand of icing. If you're looking for a high quality, old fashioned baker, Jumonville's is the place to go.
