Hotel Bären Gonten

Fabulous location in newly renovated traditional Appenzeller house. We had a wonderful lunch there and will be back for dinner soon. I highly recommend this to anyone!

We had a very large room in the dependance. It was almost like an appartment (no kitchen). The staff is very friendly and the restaurant in the main house can be highly recommended.

I have been able to evaluate many restaurants - but rarely did this review come out so convincing, so clear and easy - WAHNSINN!From the service via the ambiente over the kitchen - the chef himself inquires about his result - to the warm, warm, warm farewell by the owner just agrees everything! thanks fabienne for the great support - always present, humorous - and simply TOPCLASS!Gerne again - gonten is not only worth a visit - he is a MUSS!Many thanks!

Great host susi and chris faber. a beautiful Mother's experience with wonderful cuisine and pleasant folk music. what I miss is the stronger local reference on the map to the appenzell e.g. small savory to the appenzell, schloorzfladen and much more what it has to offer against. I'm looking forward to the next visit. I'm coming back
