Sorrento Seafoods - Gold Coast

I have been visiting this restaurant for 16 years now. My favorite dish is the hot chips, they are delicious. The gravy is also outstanding, and the grilled fish with butter and garlic is amazing. All the fish dishes are top-notch. I would give this restaurant 5 stars.

Just had this and ordered fresh gummy flake and potato cakes !! omg im from melbourne and this is easy the best ive ever had !! thank god i moved here !!!

I paid $10 for a small piece of flake, $5 for a minimal amount of chips, and $8 for 8 skinny calamari rings. When I mentioned that it seemed a bit pricey, I received some attitude. It's amusing because I have been a customer of this place since the late 80s, likely before the woman who works 15-hour days was even born. I probably visit the shop about 6 times a year.

Unfortunately we just experienced the toughest flake ever. We ended up with $27 worth of fish that was tougher than leather and chips that had been cooked in old oil. Very unpleasant and very expensive. We will be heading back to the best fish n chips in the GC a few klms up the road at Benowa..
