Paris Cafe - Gold Coast

My friends and I went to this restaurant for lunch and each ordered the corn fritters. What we received was a single corn fritter each with a small side salad. It was not a budget-friendly meal and we left feeling disappointed. I would recommend avoiding this place unless you have no other options.

On Tuesday 23/5/2023, we arrived at the restaurant later in the afternoon around 3 pm. When placing our order, we inquired about the lamb in the souvlaki and whether it was cooked with charcoal, as we prefer the traditional taste that this method provides. We were informed that it was indeed cooked with charcoal, so we ordered one with chips and a small bottle of water. However, we found the price of $34 to be expensive for what we received. Despite sitting outside and waiting, after 20 minutes I had to go back inside only to find that our order was already waiting. We were seated right in front of the counter, but no effort was made to bring the food out to us or call us over. This seemed strange, especially considering there were no other customers in the shop. The souvlaki turned out to be very small, the lamb was not cooked with charcoal as promised, and appeared to be simply reheated on a grill. It lacked any spices or texture, leaving the meat bland and grey. The pita bread was soggy and cold, adding to the disappointment. The seasoned chips were okay, but cold. Overall, the service, quality of the souvlaki, portion size, and price were all very disappointing.

I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. I ordered a mixed Souvlaki and Greek potatoes, they were amazing! The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!

I am a local customer of this cafe, unfortunately I will not be going back as from today. I order my Sat breakfast at 10:30am hoping to enjoy a relaxing beautiful Sat morning. By 11am, my food is still not coming. I went to check with the girl working at the cafe, she just brushed me off saying it should be coming but didn’t even bother to check with the kitchen but continue her cleaning. Another 30 mins passed, food was still not on my table so I walked to the kitchen directly to check. To my shock! The chef who is the “boss” herself.. says “ I will make it now?” And didn’t even seem to apologising for such poor and negligent service even as a BOSS herself? By the way, they make terrible coffee now charging $5.80 for a “small” coffee? Typical greedy business owners who do not want to offer any services but want the profit?! I WILL NEVER GO BACK again!

As a dinner venue, I think you should close around 3pm and forget about dinner al all together ! In brief: Long wait for entre, one of which was served after the main after numerous requests. More people in the kitchen than customers, but still took around n hour to bring food to the table. Chef walked out whilst we were waiting for food, then returned with their shopping from Woolworths across the street. I asked a gentleman if he was the manager and he said no, who 's in charge was my next question and the answer sums up the restaurant no one Faulty towers is alive and well, never again will we be back, disgraceful, overpriced ,laughable and a waste of a couple of hours of my life that I cannot get back .
