Open Rice Asian Cuisine - Gold Coast

We ordered takeaway dinner from this place, it was on the apartment menu. Dinner for cost almost delivered to our apartment. It would have to be the worst Chinese food we’d ever seen or attempted to eat!! The fried rice was like the...precooked supermarket rice, soggy and mushy, with crappy shredded ham, disgusting! The Salt and pepper prawns were awful! There were only of them, very small and tasteless, and cost The Dim Sims were the ones you get from the supermarket freezer, absolute ****. The other meals were very poor as well, soggy and tasteless chicken chow mein, Mongolian beef tough as old boots and sloppy, sweet and sour pork and chicken, no vegetables with either dish!! Whatever you do, don’t go to this restaurant!!

This little gem is tucked away over the road from popular Italian restaurants. Great range of dishes on the menu. The dishes we chose were amazing, very fresh ingredients and really tasty. Well worth a visit!

This was possibly the worst takeaway/home delivery I have ever had. If I had dined in the place I would have certainly complained and even left after tasting the first spring roll. So, the midget spring rolls were obviously bulk purchased frozen and cardboard would...have tasted better, there might have been a small piece of cabbage in the rolled bit of pastry, though I can't say for sure what it was. The special fried rice was quite a mystery with some of the rice grains overcooked and gluggy and others not fully cooked as in hard and brittle. The veg in the mains we had were cooked beyond taste and recognition. I'm no chef but if I was doing the cooking there is no way I would serve this garbage to people, I would be too embarrassed. Due to the fact that we ordered a delivery without knowing anything about the place and paid before eating we have no come back. I'm really cranky that we had to pay for this and I hope we haven't been poisoned by that rice. Avoid this place.

We have visited this place during our holiday last month. Very tasty food with good customer care. Worth trying if you go to Surfers Paradise.

We loved this place. Very welcoming, we were greeted and explained if we wanted something not on the menu to ask. We had the yummiest fried rice and sweet n sour pork which was great but the best thing was crispy beef in Peking sauce....Wow wee it was soo good, best we have had. We can’t wait to go back
