Lemongrass Thai - Gold Coast

We were seated at the smallest table on the strip and had to wait a long time for menus and such. The food was mediocre at best. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience at this restaurant. The wine list was unimpressive. I ended up having beer instead. The Curry Puffs were extremely greasy, causing the fat to drip from our fingers. The dipping sauce tasted like something you would find at a cheap supermarket. The duck dish, which was supposed to be their signature dish, was a letdown. There were only 6 small pieces of duck, with the rest being sauce and a few vegetables. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I doubt they will survive in the long run. I love Thai food, but this place just didn't meet my expectations.

The menu is good, the atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant, the food is delicious, and the service is great. It may not be extraordinary, but it is very satisfying. I have lived in the area for many years and never visited this restaurant before. It was a pleasant surprise to discover a good Thai restaurant nearby.

We arrived at the restaurant and the man in a Hawaiian shirt, who appeared to be the owner, directed us to a table for two. After waiting for about 25 minutes without receiving any water, utensils, or a menu, I went to the counter to help myself. Meanwhile, a table nearby with four men in similar vacation shirts received prompt service with wine, menus, and their orders taken care of. Despite arriving before them, we were completely ignored by the staff. It was disappointing to see such poor service, and I'm relieved to hear that the food is only average as we decided to save our money and dine elsewhere. Next time, I might need to act more assertively to finally get noticed by the staff.

I placed an order via Uber Eats and waited for delivery for over an hour. To my disappointment, the order was wrong. When I called the restaurant to advise her, I was rudely told that I had to take up the business with Uber Eats and... was suspended. I understand that mistakes happen, and I have no problem with it, my question is the rude way in which I was addressed, and there was no recognition from the restaurant that they had made a mistake. Very, very poor customer service. Obviously, they have so much business they don't want business again. Marketing 101...Mundwort...all I know I can't order Thai from this restaurant.

Delicious meals and friendly efficient service. My first choices for food and drinks weren't available but the waiter quickly suggested great alternatives. It's lovely to be served by staff who know their product! We would definitely return here.
