Highland Seafood - Gold Coast

The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent, especially the burgers. The owner makes all of their own burger patties, hand-cuts calamari, and serves homemade rolls and dim sum that are delicious. The only downside is that I wish they would improve their portion sizes.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We ordered fish and chips as well as potato scallops. I had the grilled fish, while my partner had the battered fish. The fish was fantastic and the chips and potato scallops were also delicious. Overall, we had a good dining experience.

The hotel is located in the highland park shopping area and moved into the food area, highland seafood has been around for a long time. the owner, charlie, was always pleasant to me, although he is hard to hear. his family also works in loading. for this...fish and chip shop that still go, they usually get it right. in the course of the years we had a few laborious meals and I have let charlie know. have moved elsewhere and then decided to give him another, and it seems to be in order. has a good choice on the menu and it is great to preorder and collect how he is busy. the prices are reasonable and they have tables, should they want to eat there. cash only business, which is not great in these times, where people tap for everything and they ask themselves for their business practices. However, I will continue my local fish and chip stores, as I believe, the longevity should stand for something at least. if they don't like what they have received, make sure they complain!

The food here is hit and miss, but is in the regular on the good side. the lack of eftpos is formed by the incredibly favorable prices. a burger with the partie and a few kartoffelscallops is only $7.50 overall a delicious but...sometimes unconsistent place to eat. one last thing. charlie is not rude for his employees, so they ignore this evaluation. his coworkers are his daughter and his wife and his English is not great and he is a bit hard to hear, so it can sound as if he commanded mocking, but that is definitely not the case.

Decided to bypass our usual fish and chip shop and give this one a try. Bad decission. Very mediocre. Soggy chips..soggy calamari. Tiny potato scallops. Soggy batter on fish. And i don't patronise cash only businesses. Sorry but like it or not we have moved...on to a cashless society. Most people live off efpos for convenince. No excuse for not accepting cards. Had to give at least 1 star to review.
