What a disappointment Coffee was weak and wateryI complained and but no effort to rectify, instead the owner got very defensive.
A food court Coffee is always a risk but the coffee was well crafted.
Well-priced adequate buffet, good fast drinks service, we filled up and even had dessert. Nothing particularly fancy but lots of tasty food and not bad for so much food under $40 each adult. A large table of Asians were seated on the other side of the restaurant and the wait staff kept pulling the curtain across as if the sight of Aussies might put the others off their dinner. I'm sure it was for the privacy of the group but not well orchestrated and they were on the far side of the room in any case and seemed oblivious.
We received a hotel voucher for this restaurant and as my husband's birthday fell on a night of their Seafood Buffet we made a reservation. The staff also offered to make him a special birthday dessert. We chose a table ahead of time, outside in the open air, surrounded by tubs of crotons and with a lovely summer breeze blowing. It was as if we had a very private dining room, and all to ourselves. Wonderful. There were few diners in the restaurant. The seafood buffet to my mind was a bit sparse; oysters in the half shell, crabs, unshelled tiger prawns, mussels, some Atlantic salmon with capers and red onions, some salmon sushi, smoked fish; salad items, pasta salad, quinoa salad and various vegetables. The hot buffet had roast beef, wide noodle pasta, fish fillets, steamed vegetables, steamed rice, roast potatoes which had become a bit soft in their hot tray. I really thought that they could have enhanced the buffet by adding some additional items, e.g.pan seared scallops or crumbed scallops, pieces of rock lobster, or in a seafood mornay, Moreton Bay Bugs or at least pieces; prawns in a pasta salad and also perhaps clams or prawns in the hot pasta. We were not impressed with the roast beef, it was very tough to cut and to eat. The attempt at our special dessert was a plate in hurridly written chocolate wishing us a Happy 50th not Happy Birthday!. It wasn't a special dessert, just a plate of the dessert bars already on the dessert table. No much for a promise! A small cheese board with Brie, blue and cheddar with water crackers or bread was also offered. However the meal was of fairly good quality and the service we had was very good. The best part was being outside in the open air and all to ourselves.
