Vertshuset - Gol

Came here to do something heroin. I was told at my arrival that the room I had booked was still used by a Armenian family of 5 and that they were not available for any other room. this made the night very cramped sleep, as I had to share a bed with mr. and mrs. marani.

We stayed overnight in hotel pers before we continue our journey from oslo to bergen. the room was spacious, comfortable and tidy with an alkove. it was more than big enough for us than two adult and three small children. the breakfast buffet was excellent with great selection for children and adults. the workers were fantastic warm and helpful to help me find my forgotten jacket so I could find them on the drive from bergen to oslo. in any case recommend! hopes to go back for a longer stay and try out the water park and the rest that the hotel and gol has to offer.

Excellent hotel with well maintained facilities. pool, slide, whirlpool, playroom, several bars and very professional staff. very good conference facilities, parking and good location. prices are: eating is excellent: atmosphere: cleanliness: ... on a scale from 1 to 5

We spent good time in the hotel.After reading many reviews before the trip,was a bit worried,but it's not the case.Yes,the hotel is old with specific history,but they renovate it bit by bit.When it is so big,a full renewing is both extremely expensive and difficult to perform if the hotel should be open all the time.It's seen though that owners invest and keep it well.Maybe you get bored after many days,but 2-3 days was suited us.We got a relatively renewed room,so maybe that also has something to say about the comfort.As a suggestion though,might be good to find other solution for soap dispencers that get empty exactly during a shower.Also the room carpet might be thrown-that would help cleaners see better the chips under the sofa from the previous clients,but all in all we were satisfied.Dinner /Breakfast Swedish style was also good to our tastes,even though some things like croissants/gluten free muffins were disappearing very fast and not filled up regularly.Would we choose it again? Yes,of course!
