La Locanda Due Gastronomie - Goettingen

Sadly we were made to feel like an inconvenience and after 7 hours of driving, our patience was not great. The restaurant is part of the hotel and as we arrived at 9pm we thought it sensible to eat there. We got to the restaurant at 930pm (it closes at 10pm). We were handed our menus and then left alone for 20 mins. At 950 my husband went to the waiter to come and take our order. He came to our table and the first thing he said was “the kitchen closes at 10pm” We informed we had been ready to order for 15 mins, so it wasn’t an issue. The whole service was uncomfortable and awkward. We are delighted to be travelling around Germany on a family holiday (our first since pre Covid with family flying in from Singapore, UK and Spain) we hear on the news how important it is to spend our money and help the economy. This was not a place I was pleased to give my money to as we felt like a burden and an inconvenience. Thankfully the hotel has much better service

I had the opportunity to have a quick dinner here. Service was great, food is good but not exceptional. I can recommend the place for those looking for good-enough food at good-enough price level.

Nice Italian restaurant with delicious food and very friendly staff. I can recommend the steak. good wine list. I will be back!

Beautiful Italian restaurant with the most friendly service crew göttingens. we were in two nights in the restaurant because we liked it so well. with our 3 youths we were excellently served and the children have always eaten everything because it tastes so delicious. we have tried everything from antipasti, pasta to noodles and Italian desserts and are very enthusiastic about the quality. also the price-performance ratio is perfect. we will be back with safety and look forward to the next safe very tasty visit. thanks to
