Mushroom terrine divine and vegetarian , Korean beef tartare , smoked duck breast on a spoon , bouquerones from Galicia , marinated mussels from Pays Basque For me being a spoiled global foodie hats of and a special thanks to Julius who was the chef yesterday
This small place has moved and reopened at Linnégatan 32 in Gothenburg, we have not been to the old one though. Me and a familymember had an early three course meal the other day, good food and also a nice wine selection, very friendly service, you can choose between fish, meat and vegetarian on the menue. And do try the black garlic icecream dessert, delicious. Its an open kitchen and a very nice bar. We will definitely be back next time in Gothenburg. Highly recommended.
The title of this review says it all. Here in Sweden, we are used to a certain way of life when it comes to dinning out. Most Swedes are not keen on having a meal in a restaurant and subject themselves to take out, on the regular. With Sinti, you can come to a place with character and style you can relate to. Food that not only fills your stomach but opens your mind to something more than the hundreds of around the corner Thai, pizza or Chinese food restaurants. I too am a frequent customer of these places, however, when I want a place where I can have a unique dinning experience plus hang out with an amazing owner and staff, I would go to Sinti over anywhere else. The owner, Victor, is extremely knowledgeable about wine and food. His chef is a master in the kitchen, cooking up unbelievable tastes. The service is always great, you aren't just getting a meal but a place where you receive hand shakes at the door when you arrive and maybe a hug when you leave. This place is what Sweden is missing when it comes to dinning out, a place you can feel at home in, even during your first visit. Thank you for always making us feel welcome. We love you guys!
We have been curious about Sinti since was located in a smaller location in another part of town. We finally got to try it for our anniversary and was amazing! We started with a cocktail eaach, they sounded so much fun and we were not disappointed when we got some amazing gin/greentea/hibiscus/yogurt cocktail and a pineapple/rum/other stuff I don’t remember. Heaven! I am usually very reluctant to buy cocktails in Sweden because of their perceived cost to me (i am from Italy , but i would totally go back there even just for a cocktail! The food was also super delicious! We took the wine pairing and was lovely how the staff explained how the wines were produced in their special way, some short description on how they started, like a syra wine producer that took his bike and found another syra small wine producer in Morocco (or something like that . Lovely! Is not maybe a price for just a quick dinner but is worth trying the matresa package :
I was welcomed with a hug and a drink. The food journey began from Korea to Chile with a hint of France in the end. The plates were built in love <3
