Eating is very above average. the chef knows of course fine kitchen. the fish we had was especially the dorschfilet (see photo). very good location and friendly waiter. we loved it. beautiful and cozy atmosphere. two times for dinner in days. :
We´ve visited Rügen in winter, when many restaurants are closed. This made it more difficult than usual to find a restaurant that offers at least basic vegetarian options (more than just a regular salad) at the German coast of the Baltic Sea. At Caprice there...is vegetable platter on offer plus a couple vegetarian appetizers like deep-fried mushrooms. Additionally, they offer a selection of fishes and meats. Everything was plentiful. The waiter even warned us, that we shouldn´t order to much and offered to put some of our orders on hold until we saw the size of the servings. That was good advice: we would have ordered too much. There is small selection of affordable wines on the menu. Our waiter was quick, friendly and attentive (which wasn´t too difficult, since there were only customers that night: low season The furniture isn´t very stylish: plush...
I think it's safe to say this was the worst meal we had on our recent trip along the Baltic coast. A starter of nachos comprised a packet of Doritos with grated cheese melted on, and tomato ketchup mixed with chilli powder. The main course...of pork with a tinned pineapple ring and a lot of grated cheese, frozen potato croquettes and overcooked frozen vegetables.
