The owners are very warm and friendly. We didn't have a reservation, but they kindly arranged a table for us. I'll definitely make a reservation next time. I ordered a jacket potato with spicy beans, and I'll be sure to try the Sunday roast next time. Thank you!

A proper café, this place serves freshly brewed coffee and tea from a teapot, just as it should be. The service is fantastic, thanks to two guys who have a great sense of humor. From what I've seen in other reviews, they can't do anything wrong! The food is freshly prepared—definitely not the typical cafeteria fare—and is served with sides like salad and chips. You really get a feeling of belonging here. I've been visiting this café for several years; it’s my little secret, and a part of me wants to keep it that way! Remember, this is a local café, not a massive chain raking in millions. Enjoy it for what it is, and embrace the sense of community it offers!

This was the best Christmas dinner! It felt like being with family, with volunteers bringing joy like no other. If you're looking for poetry in the experience, this isn't the place for you. But if you appreciate fellowship and warmth, this is definitely the spot to be.

I should mention that it's not a place for those who are unpleasant, demanding, or overly particular; it emphasizes honest eating in a relaxed, scenic setting. The prices are quite reasonable—around £10 for tea, a sandwich, and a cake is excellent these days. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the kingfisher and gray swallows!
