Food overall was good, service was good and atmosphere good. Not 5 stars because of repeated wrong food delivered to our table, late delivery of side orders for main meal and all the dogs in the pub. We will go back though, before today we’ve had better experiences there. Service: 5
I would like to make a compliant about one of your staff members i think she’s called danni,i came in on thursday night after work for a catch up with an old friend and saw her giving out free alcoholic drinks to a few lads who looked quite old,she whispered in one of there ears “don’t tell anyone” and then she walked back into the restaurant and all the boys left,she then proceeded to look shaken for the rest of her shift,this isn’t what a restraint should be doing,she looked under the age of 18 so by law is not meant to be working behind the bar,if this doesn’t get dealt with i’ll be taking it further myself,my daughter is a waitress at your pub and now feels unsafe,if this girl doesn’t get dealt with i will make a bigger complaint.
Just had a lunch. A little pricey. Most of the meal was lovely. But main courses a touch stingy. However a nice place to go Service: 4 Location: 5

On arrival at the hotel we were showed a room and on checking into the room we found that the mattress had pee and other stains on it, we called the manager who looked at it and then asked us to wait in the bar with a free drink whilst she went to sort it out. After a while she came back and informed us that she was unable to sort it out, and unfortunally has she had only taken over recently and was in the stage of sorting tings out could not help and provide a different room for us as the hotel was fully booked, she offered us a full refund and even said that she would reduce the bill buy 50 per cent if we still wanted to stay and sleep on the bed, Which we said no! what a question to ask? she also said she would help us to try to find a different hotel, we did book one but that was really dirty so we then had to phone around and spoke with three other hotels in the area but all were fully booked, in the end we had to drive to Working to get a hotel which we did. On reflection and after driving 140 miles to get to the Squirrel for a occasion with our family at an event near bye, and with all the distress and upset we had to experience we feel that some compensation should had been offered and given to us. Also we feel that to have been offered a discount to have stayed and sleep on a bed that was stained was quite upsetting, would she has sleep on it? are these the standards we should expect no! Not the experience we had hoped for and very upsetting for us. We look forward to your reply and any action you will give to offset the distress we felt.
