The hotel didn't go. We had the Suit for 139 euros and it was terrible. Very small, very low, shower is nix for big people, under the roof and therefore much too warm and no air conditioning. Windows could only be opened conditionally and then the noise from the marketplace was there. The hammer came the next morning, the price goes without breakfast! Then we learned the bill. The concierge did not consider it necessary to inform us. We like to be in Glückstadt, but last time from this hotel.
General On Sunday we went to sixth a nice trip to Glückstadt. It is finally Matjezeit and Glückstadt seemed to be a worthwhile destination. On the market of Glückstadt you will find some restaurants that all have similar menus. Matjes was offered everywhere. In the Anno 1617 we found a large table outside the restaurant, which was protected from rain with a large umbrella. Operators welcomed us, then there were the first menus with the indication that cards today were shortware. In view of the restaurant name and the keyword of shortware, I immediately had to think about the computer game Anno 1602 in which a computer voice that lacks raw materials with a monotonous formation/bak/copper, etc., shortware commented. At least education should not be shortages today, for which we drew the service with sophisticated questions about North German fish species, which was answered satisfactorily after consultation with the cook. But I swore off: the service worked well, a little more friendly looseness we would have wanted. The food Four of us ordered the Matjes variation, four different inserted matjes with four different sauces, with roast potatoes and beans. There would have been Matjesbuffet for just under 19 euros, as we were told on demand. This offer can also be found with competitors on the marketplace. We didn't want to. The supplements were served in large bowls, we had to reorder from the roast potatoes. The Matjes and sauces have tasted us all well, roast potatoes were also as you wish. Nice crispy and not burned. A salad was added to the panfish, leaving only wonder and not eating. It consisted exclusively of iceberg salad with a white dressing and two orange columns (see photo . Each kindergarten child gets that better and more appealing. There was also no demand why the salad was not eaten. It is also obvious; I do not bring it over 's heart to forgive more than two stars for food because of the salad. The ambience From the interior of the restaurant I have not seen much, I am only washed once to the toilets. But everything worked fine. Outside it was nice, beautiful view of the market place. Cleanliness The toilets were clean, the restaurant looked clean.
From the outside, this establishment looks pretty and welcoming, in a historic building right on the market square. That is why there is also the second star. Unfortunately, the house does not hold what the conformation promises. Restaurant/kitchen: In the evening, there are long faces from 9:00 a.m. when you need something to eat, but you get something else. The Bedinung is striving, although apparently unskilled. The served Matjes is ok, even for a Matjeshochburg such as lower-level lucky town that disappoint roast potatoes, in the area they should actually be professionally roasted and not simply swung into fat. The negative impression continues at breakfast, this has the standard of an at best medium-class pension, rolls are only available in a variety, little tasty Aldi baking product. The bakery is right next door. Also the selection of bread lining, cheese and jam is rather poor. After the hotel guest is known to determine the quality of a hotel to a not insignificant part of the quality of breakfast, a number of points are lost here. This is still supported by the ambience of the breakfast room, a dark tile without perceptible daylight, badly illuminated. This may be in the hope that the shameful institution and the abandoned, stained carpet will not fall into the eye. The less motivated staff also does not necessarily contribute to improving well-being. Hotel: The standard of the restaurant also meets the quality of the rooms. These are quiet as far as the street noise is concerned, but this is compensated by the glucking heating. It is only possible to heat up under the bed blanket at night. Also a complaint the next morning did not bring any activity during the day, in the following night the heating concert was removable in unchanged volume. The likewise crimped cloged cloged sink, which only drained the let-in water dropwise again, was also not processed. The room itself has a standard that has certainly found a lot of applause 50 years ago, but since then nothing has changed. Shade, high under the roof juchee with pale and slanted walls could be set up a cozy stay, even with little effort. But if the love for accommodation is lacking, the best location does not help.
I had the worst food on a Sunday with Raumann. It was at the shell time. My wife and I ordered us mussels in broth with bread. The bread was as old and dry as if it had collected my grandma for the chickens. In my mussels there was no meat, I haven't seen anything yet, the meat sticked from inside to the shells as if the shells were exploded. Three different employees asked me how it would have tasted and I complained. No reaction, then finally one who felt compassionate, they did not sit in the shells. I got lucky. No schnapps, no coffee, no excuse. Then I complained my suffering on the management website and received an insignificant apology an invitation for a meal. I dispensed with this, once the store was insulted me, second, if a meal is destroyed to two, then I would also like to get this replaced. There are many good restaurants in Glückstadt.
