We went here twice for dinner in summer 2017. The food was very tasty and the servers were friendly and we all had a good time. Service was good too. The free refill salads and garlic bread to begin are always delicious. I recommend the spaghetti and meatballs baked with mozerella. The pizza cookie for dessert was excellent too. I would love to go back.
What a bargain. We left totally full and had leftovers for two days. Kids ate free because it was a Monday. No complaints about the food. We had: pizza, two kinds of salad,, wedding soup, sausage arrabatti (or whatever it is called), three cheese capellett, salmon and veggies. The chicken parmagiana was huge! The waitress was so nice and attentive. We will definitely be back. . . on a Monday!
We had a beer at the Bar Steve was a Great Waiter but when it came dinner it is a different story. We ordered Veal Parmesan with fettuccine alfredo which came with soup and salad. Mario is known for the hot bread served before your meal but the waitress forgot about it until we asked during our meal. Alfredo sauce was thin and watery. The waitress disappeared and the bus girl finally helped us. We wanted to see the manager to tell her about the watery sauce but the girls decided to discuss the problem between them and got our bill reduced but we still asked to see the manager to complain about the food and to say we did not see our waitress to help us. Remember to take care of the customer and get the manager instead of handing the problem between two waitresses. We would not recommend Mario's at St. Laurent to anyone and also the bathrooms are discussing and a door was missing of one of the bathroom and not kept. We still tipped the waitress $10.00 which she did not really deserve it. We rate it one.
I was staying at the nearby Hampton Inn and didn't want to head into town, so I made the short hop to the St Laurent Centre and chose to eat here. The restaurant is located at the end of one of the malls but is also accessed directly from the car park. It's a decent sized place. I was greeted on arrival and shown to a booth (these aren't for everyone as it was a tight fit). My server was pleasant and the bread delivered to your table while you look at the menu is a nice touch. I ordered a brandy with ginger ale, which, when it arrived, had merely glanced at the brandy bottle -there was very little alcohol in the drink. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken which was ok. I then had the cheesecake which was pretty good. The bill was $31 plus tip which I considered to be reasonable for what I had.I'm only in town 2 days but I'll probably try elsewhere next time.
Love their all you can eat soup and salad combo. Excellent value for money. The roasted tomato soup is my favourite. Usually take the house salad cause I really like the dressing and the peppers they put in the salad.
