The Franklin Cape Ann - Gloucester

I visit Cape Ann every year with my fiancée and Franklins is the absolute best. The shells are incredible, they are a must.

Excellent food, service, atmosphere and they are also late in spring! Enough, yes, but it's worth it!

The best of Gloucester. Always very good food and service and ambience. No TVs that are so refreshing nowadays.

I'm a local and a regular. You will always get good food and drinks. The menu is not extensive and changes easily every 5 or 6 months, but there is usually something to please every taste. And their hands are down, their hands are the best everywhere! They are perfectly made shoe running and you have a generous help that can be easily divided (because your dinner companion WILL want to try them). The wine list is not extensive, but it fits. There is a dining room and a bar upstairs, which cannot be visible. The ambience is different, but both are warm and ready for a romantic dinner (although I would tilt up open on the weekend for something more romantic). If Matt tilts up the bar, you cannot go willg (and he is the real deal budding artist)! Have fun!

Amazing experience. My fiance and I came here all three nights of our trip to Gloucester once just for drinks and twice for dinner. Our last night in town, the night after we got engaged, the bartender celebrated with us and the chef came out to speak to us, and they really made us feel special. The ambiance is really great, with a low lit dining room, nice decor, and a beautiful bar. The people are incredibly nice. And the chef is really talented; the food is DELICIOUS. We loved the tuna steak and the sirloin. Drinks are fun and tasty too. Really highly recommended.
