Lately Penny's Diner in Glenwood MN has been turning customers away after 9 PM. I don't believe this is a very good business practice and has lost Penny's diner 3 customers and probably more that have not left reviews. This used to be a good place for good food late at night.
One of a kind service!!! The people who run the place? AMAZING. Stop in to a REAL country diner/Cafe, and then take in the ambiance of yesteryear. Tell them I sent you. Also, the T-shirts for sale, and their coffee mugs, are a wonderful souvenir or gift for a loved one. A
The guy there was a real *****. Called ahead and asked if they were open like the website said, and the lady said yeah. We get there and the guy said it wasnt open to the public and also refused the couple there who already paid online. Lady seemed nice but the dude seemed didnt want to do his job.
A friend and I stopped for a late supper and were happy to see breakfast is served 24 hours. There was one person on staff who was answering phones, checking in hotel guests and greeting customers along with cooking. Surprisingly, although it got a little busy for 8pm, he did great! He kept a positive attitude, was super friendly, was all smiles, and was professional to everyone who came in. The food was good, but the service was even better. Kudos to him!
Haven't eaten there yet but reminds me of Mickey's diner in St.Paul. love these classic diners.
