Hugo's - Glenwood Springs

Really wanted to love this place based on friends' recommendations but unfortunately we had a very poor experience. We had a reservation for Friday night, it wasn't busy yet at 6pm, but it took over 15 minutes to get someone to come by and take our drink order. It was Friday night happy hour, come on! My husband and I each had a seafood dish, and they were just ok. The worst was when we were basically ignored for 30 minutes (empty glasses should be an indication to check on your patrons) and then handed a check that overcharged us $80. We gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was an oversight and told them it wasn't our check. They brought a corrected check that was still $50 over. Being in the Aspen valley I sure hope they don't do this as a rule and expect people to pay an inflated bill without checking the itemization. Third check was correct. We paid and left. Overall pretty disappointing. We won't be back.

My boyfriend and I were so impressed! From the moment we walked in, the ambience felt warm and welcoming and staff were super friendly. We decided to order quite a bit and were satisfied and delighted with everything! Literally the best calamari we have ever had. We highly recommend saving room for dessert because you will be missing out if you don't. I do not drink alcohol, and the mocktails were so tasty and complemented the entrees well. Don't miss out on this gem in Glenwood Springs! We live on Sunlight mountain and we will definitely be back!

Do not rely on their website or even the hours on their door. They change it without warning. Tried to go there on twice and on both occasions they were closed.
