Social Inn - Glenview

The restaurant was closed for a private event, so we were unable to eat there. The hostess was quite rude.

What a hidden gem that we absolutely love to support! Our last visit was during the week, and it was a wonderfully quiet and intimate experience. However, this time we went on a Saturday night, and it was lively and bustling. Unfortunately, it seemed a bit understaffed. We even had to surrender our menus because there weren’t enough to go around. These are minor issues, though. We’ll definitely return!

Enjoyed our first visit to Social Inn. We tried the seafood appetizer special which was pretty good. I had the chicken skewers and I subbed in the carrot mashed potatoes which were excellent. They do not have an overwhelming carrot taste. My husband had the burger with the dark rye bun, the fries were very tasty. We shared the blueberry dessert which was good, but needed a bit more flavor. Maybe a shot of brandy or almond extract? Very warm and cozy atmosphere with the fireplace and service was good. I would go back again.

This was my second visit to this local restaurant, and I enjoyed the meal even more than the last time. The service was good, and the food was delicious. I will definitely eat here again!

My husband and I loved the personable service and atmosphere as we enjoyed celebrating our anniversary together! The tequila shrimp was scrumptious and very nice selection of food and drink!
