Utzi Espresso - Glenside

The staff at this restaurant is very helpful and polite. The server who assisted us today was particularly nice and provided great guidance on allergens and ingredients. We were impressed with their excellent customer service as well as their delicious Fudge and Macadamia Brownie, which were outstanding.

Very rude staff, no respect for customers, felt like I was being punished to be there. No respect for even children. Make sure you bring your own wet wipes and clean before you leave.

Since this cafe changed hand about 1 year ago, the food offerings have deteriorated. Servings are now smaller and the salad sids which were quite tasty are now very bland. Still serves good coffee. But, if you are interested in a lunch snack, consider stepping around the corner to the vjne vmcovered atrium.

There are several good places for coffee and cake around Burnside Village, but for us, Utzi is a front runner. There is a good selection of fresh cakes and they always take good care to get my cappuccino with lots of froth just right! There are just two factors which prevent me giving 5/5 here. One is the location in the midst of a busy pedestrian throughway. This inhibits any kind of intimacy, but others may think it adds to the interest. The other factor is the lack of table service: they send you a loud signal, and you have to pick up your order. Actually I did notice a frail old lady receiving table service. Perhaps I need to cultivate my feeble aged look!!

This cafe is in a perfect location within the Burnside Shopping complex. A great range of coffee and tea, very tasty and quick service. Very relaxing even though busy.
