Carlyle Hotel Bistro - Glenorchy

I called my mother and my wife to lunch. it was quite busy and the whole security covid was present. the staff was great and helpful. Eat: my steak was great, chips were good and salat so. the fish of the woman was disappointing. I know it's a pub, but the fish could be a little better than frozen fish from coles. mama had huh and was okay, chicken was big, but dry. parking is great everything was in order.

Came here to dinner to open them, not book as it was a Sunday night. a good choice for the senior meal with an extra you can add on a dessert or garlic brot. waiting time for ordering and serving was good,...portion size and prices appropriate.

We were disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We visited for lunch on a Sunday and both ordered steaks. My wife's rump steak was supposed to be cooked medium but was actually rare. My Porterhouse steak was cooked medium rare but was a poor quality cut of meat and some of it was inedible. The salad was good, with a nice plume sauce, but the garlic bread lacked any garlic flavor and seemed to be made with margarine. Additionally, my mushroom sauce was cold. Overall, there were several points of disappointment during our meal.

I went to this restaurant with a large group, and we all ordered different items from the menu. Some people in our group used discount vouchers, and I have a feeling that the quality of their meals may not have been as good as those who paid full price. The experience was a bit inconsistent, with average meals overall and average service. This place is good for a basic meal, but if you're looking for something special, you might want to try somewhere else. It's fine for a quick, no-frills meal.
