Shugar Shack Soul Food - Glenolden

My name is Darlene Barnes and I ordered a Fried Fish platter and a Peach Cobler. The fish was crispy and well seasoned. Two very large pieces that barely fit in the container! The greens and Mac and cheese were also well seasoned! True soul food! The peach cobbler was delicious and homemade!

I got the Chicken Wing Platter with Mac and cheese and Rice and Gravy and it was the most amazing soul food ive ever tasted from anyone else. The chicken was cooked well, the mac and cheese was cooked perfect, and the rice with the gravy embedded in it was amazing.

Positiw: the customer service was great. the woman who gave me our order was very pleasant. negatiw: overall the food did not taste good. the baked chicken lacks taste, was overcooked and very dry. the mac had no taste, and the yams had to go too far. my man said the fried fish was good our child as the rice and the gravure. That was our first time from here. we could try.

The food at this restaurant is amazing but the customer services is horrible. They do not allow you inside the store and ask that you call to place your order, which is fine but when you call they do not answer. You can literally be standing in front of the store and seeing them inside the store and they will not answer the phone to take your order. Very frustrating and would not recommend doing business with this restaurant until they get a better handle on their customer service!

The service could be better but the food was really good . My boyfriend and I got salmon platters.One fried and one grilled because we wanted to try both…our sides were mac cheese, cabbage and yams. Both were really good. Good portions.. definitely worth the cost
