The Annex Cafe - Glenelg

Off the main street in Glenelg without a lot of other cafes mainly health and beauty businesses. Plenty of indoor seating and good outdoor seating on good days. A nice selection of foods to order with breakfast all day. Smoothies and coffee are really good. Service is quite good as well.

Had a nice breakfast at The Annex Cafe recently. Prompt friendly service, newspapers to read and hot, fresh food. And unexpectedly, my apply juice was freshly squeezed and very tasty. A good breakfast option at the Bay.

Poor quality food lettuce old and brown, tomatoes tasteless pale, fritters soggy. Coffee ok. Good position

Friendly staff, nice little shop, good enough menu of both food and drinks. But just like a red convertible with an old person driving what a let down. Coffee ok if not much flavour and toasted cheese sandwich small squished and well overcooked. But the price nearly $14. No wonder it’s quiet.

A bit disappointed with my visit. The menu lists Eggs Benedict but this dish includes no ham or bacon, only spinach... that is actually Eggs Florentine, a complete different dish. I ordered Eggs Benny assuming it came how it normally does but was disappointed when it arrived. Maybe there should be two seperate dishes as I would happily pay extra for it to be automatically included as it should. I added haloumi and was disappointed as it came out dry like it had been cooked for 20 minutes, couldn’t even eat it. Everything else tasted nice but was disappointed with a misleading menu.
