The taramasalata was the best I have ever had lamb rack was cooked perfectly, it was full of flavour. They had a duo playing live music who were great and were a...rap highlight of the evening.
Food is good here but you might be waiting a while. We were seated towards the rear of the restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime, water and wine being offered quickly but it took us walking to the bar thirty minutes later before someone...came to take our food order. Then at least another thirty before the food came out. Yes, the waiter was apologetic, but his words were the extent of it. When we came to pay, we discovered, next to the large sign telling us of a surcharge for Sundays, a tatty piece of paper with small text stating that our Entertainment Card voucher would not be accepted due to Covid. Understandable, but this information was not in the app that guided us here we felt misled, and a bad taste in our mouths from everything but the food.
I'm sorry, but I have given this restaurant multiple chances, but today was the final straw. Every time I have visited, they have not had basic staples for a Greek restaurant available. There was no lamb souvlaki, no octopus, and the dips were not homemade or made correctly. The grilled meat was dry. After experiencing the same issues multiple times, I have now decided that I will never return to this restaurant.
I enjoyed the food at this restaurant, but I was not pleased with some of the service. The maître was lovely and hardworking, but seemed overwhelmed. Most of the female staff were very busy, while the bar staff was slow. One very rude waiter interrupted a conversation with the maître and assumed my husband was being rude, which he wasn't. We ordered goat and lamb, and the goat was fantastic. However, when we later ordered salads to accompany the goat, we were told they had run out of lamb. We later found out they had run out of lamb shoulder, not the rack which we should have been offered. The maître kindly ordered it for us, but we had to wait a long time. We also ordered two glasses of wine, which took forever to get (although we were given these free of charge). The lamb was good, but there wasn't much of it for the price. Unfortunately, we will not be returning due to the rudeness of the young man and slow service. I understand they may have been short-staffed, but that doesn't excuse the young man's comments to my husband.
Definitely a must go to restaurant when in Adelaide, Located in Glenelg with great staff and a great menu, the owner Damien is a great young restauranteur with a great personality. The food was outstanding, from entrees to main and dessert.
