ELLENIKA - Glenelg

Today we were at Ellenika Traditional Greek Taverna on the Marina Pier at Glenelg.

Came for dinner on a Saturday night. Meals came out pretty quickly but took a while for our order to be taken. Had mezedakia to share, all of the dishes came out fresh, and tasted pretty good. Smaller portion size for the price but nice atmosphere and they had also live bouzoukia which you can't really beat!

This restaurant has great views of the marina, friendly staff and scrumptious food. Fresh lemons are provided and the surrounds leave you in no doubt that this is a greek restaurant. The halloumi was perfectly cooked but just a tad cold, my partner had the octopus which he said was really tasty. The lamb skewers were tender and had a great selection of mediterranean veggies which were yummy. My partner had the prawn saganaki, which had a good selection of prawns and he said the cheesecake was delicious. Would definitely go back.

Delicious Greek food. The beef cheeks and linguine were delicious, pick of the menu for sure. Reasonably price however I thought that the seafood saganaki was a little bit small for its price.
