What the point to add water in the fried rice?! Keep hurrying us with order and even want to take the plates while we not finishing yet. Won't recommend to anyone!
Stopped by with my wife and two kids. Just down a side street off Moseley Square. Casual cafe style environment, plenty of space between tables and a choice of inside or out on the street. On a hot, humid night it almost felt like we were back in Singapore! Large selection from the menu and a few specials. Choice of wine, beers and soft drinks from the fridge. We chose the entree selection, prawn crackers and three dishes from the main menu to share. Food was really lovely - everything was really tasty. Chicken dishes had lovely soft breast meat, no pieces of gristle. Clean plates all round, very reasonable bill and happy customers all round. We will be back
Small tucked away cafe just off the Moseley square, first night the girl behind the counter was most helpful and we had very tasty food. ( Chicken and cashew nuts with fried rice) Came back a second time , different girl behind the counter, had a something different to eat, was tasty(.Garlic prawns with vegies and fried rice) Came back a third time ... same girl as the second night, was very rushed... dont like being rushed when spending money as you are deciding on what to eat .
A small cafe style establishment (previously known as Blue Ginger) in the alley off Moseley Square offers about 8 inside tables and about 4 outside tables. Sit outside on a warm evening and enjoy the passing parade of folk young and old. Sit inside on a cooler evening - the alley can get a little breezy. A good selection of different Asian styles is on offer and when your selection arrives you'll be pleased you didn't go for the more 'takeaway' style options across the alley (which are probably excellent as well but the decor isn't as inviting). Can recommend the Chinese fried rice or the Pad Thai. My last Laksa was a little tame but would suit many tastes. Servings are large enough to share 1 between 2 if you are not gluttons. Prices start around $11 AUD.
I am going there for the food, they have the same great Chef for many years, great presentation so the interior is not very inviting, bits and pieces, does not feel cosy. Food gets 5 stars, friendliness too, interior (though they upgraded) 2.5
