Tapley's Charcoal Chicken

After being a loyal customer for almost 20 years, I am disappointed with the new owners of this restaurant. The lack of hot chickens at 7:30 on a late night trading Thursday shows poor planning by the management. I witnessed four people leaving while I was there, receiving the wrong order. The cashier seemed inexperienced in customer service, and all staff members should wear uniforms to promote cleanliness and teamwork. If they do not improve, I fear the business will change ownership again very soon. I do not think I will be returning. Disappointing!

The new owners, a family from Victoria, are not doing a good job at this restaurant. There was a long wait, the order was messed up, and they gave the wrong change. The chicken had a strong charcoal smell, and the chips and roast potatoes were soggy. The pasta salad had no flavor and lacked sauce. The previous owner's son was trying to help out, but it might be best to wait for the business to close and then try it again. The restaurant used to have the best chicken and chips in the area, but the new owners have ruined it. It's likely that the restaurant will be sold or shut down within six months. It's a shame because the previous owners were great. Looks like it's time to find a new place for chicken and chips.
