My Peruvian friend taught me to eat it with butter and chili verde, and I really enjoyed it. The yuca was amazing - crispy and tender, topped with their yellow sauce - I would rate it 9/10. When my friend added the chili verde on top, it became a perfect 10/10. The ceviche was also great, different from what I've had before. Peruvians eat their ceviche with buttered rice, which balances out the acidity. Adding the chili verde takes it to another level. They also sell a bottle of the chili verde for $13, which I plan on getting on my next visit. The staff was friendly and polite, and the atmosphere was bright, cozy, and welcoming. They were playing classic jazz, my favorite genre, which enhanced the experience for me. I highly recommend trying this restaurant and I can't wait to come back and try more items from the menu.
This restaurant is stunning with exceptional service. The food is top-notch and the best in Glendale. I highly recommend trying the shrimp ceviche and the lomo saltado, both are absolutely delicious!
I have visited this restaurant several times and it never fails to impress. We started with some bread and butter. My go-to dish here is the lomo saltado. I always save plenty of the green sauce for added flavor and spice. I wish I could have an endless supply of it! There is ample parking available along the row of car dealerships, making it convenient to park.
For some reason there are 3 Peruvian restaurants in Glendale. I have not been to the other two because I love Mamitas so much, why go somewhere else. This is a tiny hole in the wall serving delicious Peruvian favorite dishes. However, it must have undergone a recent remodel because it is beautifully decorated, modern but warm. The service was outstanding with attentive waiters, very polite and friendly. There is a huge menu. We always get the same dishes: lomo saltado, plátanos fritos, and a side of Peruvian beans with plain rice. The portions are huge. The only reason I am giving a 4 star is because of the type of customers that were at the restaurant. Most were Spanish speaking families with tattoos and lots of babies. It made dinner a very noisy experience. I realize the restaurant can't control the type of people that walk in and it must be great for business because it was packed. Since it's a small restaurant, the tables are very close to each other and you hear very single baby sound. Next time, I'll Just order and take home.
Thus place is a gem, my Peruvian friend took me here. I am not sure what I got but it was so great. Price was reasonable, the parking is slim. It is hard since it is on a busy street. It is really small inside but the food is really good. The bathrooms are nice and clean they are outside and the inside is clean . The customer service is good also and they explain what you are getting. I want to go back
