Guinea Pig - Glenageary

The restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere that is easy to notice. The prices are a bit higher, but worth it. The food is fantastic, especially the perfectly cooked and high-quality steak. The waiter was very welcoming and attentive, even engaging us in a brief conversation (despite us being the last customers in the restaurant). Would definitely come back again!

I hadn't visited this restaurant in a while, but I heard there was a new chef/owner, and I have to say it was a delightful experience. The French bistro food was prepared to a high standard and I absolutely loved it.

After not visiting this restaurant for years, I was a bit hesitant when I arrived due to the old-fashioned decor, although some may consider it charming. The early bird menu enticed us with three courses for 33€, offering a great selection of delicious-sounding dishes that did not disappoint. Starters and mains, including steak (with a 9€ supplement), scampi (with a 5€ supplement), chicken, and seabream with mussels, were all delightful. Personally, I had the seabream and it was absolutely delicious; I highly recommend it. To end the meal, we enjoyed a divine lemon tart meringue. The service was excellent, with a friendly and efficient young man attending to us. We will certainly be returning soon.

Food was fine (dessert was the best of all the menu) but seemed more like home cooking nothing really interesting, with no even attempt for presentation. Same with interior and atmosphere. For what we got it was hugely overpriced. We won't be back and...would not recommend.

Warm and friendly restaurant in Dalkey. Showed up without a reservation but we’re seated in a side room and had wonderful diner including duck. Wonderful owner and good service. Search them out and enjoy!
