The Lookout - Glen Cowie

This place is closed. The website said that it is open but not. It's closed. I was driving for so long and we select the menu. It was hard to find because it parte of the hotel, so what you can see is the hotel. We went to the hotel and they said it was closed for long time:

We had a family Supper here. Window seat looking over the City in the winter night. Absolutely magical. Wonderful atmosphere, great service, good food. What else can you ask for. The view out the bay of island is amazing. Definitely Recommend.

Great meals service was excellent beautiful scenery over the city a great spot to go.

If you have celiac disease or a gluten sensitivity I'd choose another restaurant. The menu has GF symbols on it, with an extra $1.50 charge per GF item (including salads and naturally GF items). I'm fine with an up-charge as long is it means the restaurant is taking extra precautions or perhaps the money is paying for a gluten free fryer. However, they do not have a GF fryer and mark menu items as GF even if they are fried in the communal fryer. The waitress had clearly never even heard of such a thing; I informed her of my celiac when I ordered but still received a fried item (I had assumed it was baked when I ordered so didn't ask about the fryer at that point). They did comp my meal after I informed them but this lack of awareness makes me concerned about other cross-contamination. We tried to call management and got no response, so I have no indication anything has changed. The salad also tasted like dirt. Avoid. TLDR: No GF fryer, yet they mark fried items as GF. I wouldn't recommend to celiacs.

Waited an hour for our food, we're not told of a large group ahead of us. I asked when we were being seated about what kind of oil they use due to allergies. I ordered the pan fried cod and after waiting an hour found out it was cooked in pork fat! no where was this on the menu! They said they comped my sisters bill, they didn't! they only removed my meal (rightfully so too). I would not waste my time here agian, I am very disappointed in what should have been a good place to grab a bite.
