Sea By Thai - Glen Allen

This is by far my FAVORITE Thai Restaurant in all of Richmond and one of my favorites on this earth! The food is fresh, perfectly seasoned, and so consistent each time. I love their Pad Thai Combo and their Volcano Chicken is fire!!! We have tried many other items and they were all so delicious! The owner is also so friendly and honest. Saying I love this place is an understatement!

Lunch at Sea by Thai with my younger brother. Was seated immediately, no waiting. Cute modern trendy decorations. Large menu with plenty of options. Ordered the vegetarian spring rolls for an appetizer, green curry with tofu and kapow jai (mixed vegetables). Spring rolls were hot and crispy, kapow jai was tasty with plenty of vegetables and a nice basil flavor with a hint of smoke (stir fry, reminiscent of food I ate while living in Thailand). The green curry was thick, which I really prefer, with lots of tofu and vegetables, including bamboo shoots which I particularly like in my green curry. Service was friendly and fast. Price was also good. Overall a very nice experience. Will return for lunch again.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Almost all entrees (curries, noodles, and rices) allow you to select your protein so you can select tofu in place of animal protein. There is also a selection of vegetarian appetizers.

I hate that I have to leave a negative review because I really like their food and have been coming here since they opened. As of late I've noticed a lot burnt black particles in my food which is coming from the pot they are using. Those burnt particles and charred food are known to contribute to cancer. I'm pretty sure they are not using bpa or pfa free pots for the benefit of customers. I wish their food didn't have those black particles, I don't know why I saw so many, I had to throw away the pad Thai. Please be careful and don't consume burnt particles.

Food was mind blowing! However, I wasn’t satisfied with the server since she was on a video call for over ten minutes when the restaurants was almost full of customer and she was the ONLY server. Other than that, I love the authentic Thai food and will be back again

Solid and consistent Thai food in Short Pump. I order take out from them fairly often, whether it's pad se ew, pad thai, drunken noodles, or any of their curries, it's always good! I am partial to their curry puffs and I like to get their Thai iced tea. Parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day, but you can always try the garage.
