Kokonut Box - Glen Allen

I've always wanted to try steamed buns, and they did not disappoint! I ordered the custard bun, and the filling was just right—not too overwhelming. The grilled chicken was cooked to perfection. I will definitely return. The only thing I would change is having tapioca pearls for the drinks instead of the bursting ones.

I've been to their other restaurant in VCU.(Kokonut Grill). The menu is the same except this place doesn't have macaroni salad. The Sweet chili is my favorite sauce with the grilled chicken. The slaw and sesame noodles were okay but the white rice went better with the chicken. There's a layer of cabbage under the chicken that soaks up the sauce. It's great a nice surprise. The sesame balls were good but a little small. Been wanting to go back and try more dishes Overall really good and highly recommend it! Staff was really nice and food came out quick.

Wanted to try something different. So I saw this restaurant. I went in not knowing what to get. The cashier to me to try the box it comes with two proteins and three sides. So I got the chicken teriyaki and sweet chili shrimp with rice and double fries. When I tell you it was delicious it was out of this world. They even had some cabbage on the bottom of the meat to soak some of the sauce up. Oh and let's not forget the tea. All I can say is I will be back again. It was worth every penny

Love the online ordering experience and the flavors were correct!! Walkable from The Drury, easy pick-up, I was so pleasantly surprised at this find. 10/10

Update: I did go back and tried the veggie rolls and chicken. As you can see, my car key is larger than the rolls, which cost over $3. I tried the chicken this time as well; the portion was bigger, but the flavor wasn’t as good. On the positive side, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean. The food is tasty, but the portion sizes just don't justify the prices.
