J. Gilbert's Wood-fired Steaks Seafood

We dined in for a special occasion and it was a wonderful experience. The food was great. The service was wonderful. All around an excellent experience. everything was delicious Calamari appetizer Grilled vegetables Seafood mixed Grill Halibut special. Kids menu Filet mignon with fries Slider with fries. Stefan our host was excellent. The reception folks upfront were also very professional. this location is exceptionally well run. J. Gilbert is a steak and seafood restaurant in Glastonbury.

Went for a meal to celebrate a good friend’s anniversary. I have never been here before but everyone raves about the steaks so I was game. I have the Kansas cut steak and salted potatoes. It was definitely up there in my favorites! I will definitely stop by again.

Haven't eaten here in over 10 years, but I remembered how good it was. Came to celebrate my mans birthday. Packed, packed, packed. Got to our seating, but it was a table for four, but with a wheelchair needed it a tad bigger, but we made it work. We had an awesome waitress, and she was very sweet. Everything was perfect except a steak that was super overdone, but the manager apologized and made up for it even when we said it was fine. They came out with a candle and dessert, and we had such an enjoyable night. The food was delicious. They even was awesome with my food allergies, and they followed my request to a t. They even scattered happy birthday confetti on the table.

We Went there for the first time yesterday to have my birthday dinner. The min we walked in they greeted and wished me a Happy birthday. They decorated my table with birthday confetti. I felt special from the moment I walked in till the very end when they gifted me my carrot cake. My server Michelle was the best! Food and drinks were great!! My steak was cooked just how I like it. No complaints and can’t wait to go there again.

I came here for my birthday. The wait was a little long about an hour because we didn't really Do a reservation. We spontaneously ended up at this restaurant. We waited about an hour to be seated. When we were seated we had a nice waiter. The seat was cute. My partner and I had the sourdough bread and split a salad. Best part about the salad is the crunchy cheese on top. She had the side of clams, she said they were amazing. I had a well done steak and it was also amazing with asparagus and a baked potato. The loaded baked potato was also amazing. The full experience was amazing. To close the night the waiter brought over a scoop of ice cream with a candle she was sweet. I would definitely go back to this place even though it was full of people the wait time was a little long it was all definitely worth it..
