Birch Hill Tavern - Glastonbury

We have a lot of family living in glastonbury. that is therefore a place where we often meet them for eating or for dinner. birch hill tavern has a fantastic task to use fresh and local ingredients that are seasonally appropriate. while I personally do not drink, the family members are always complementary to the craft cocktails and the mixologists they have. the last time I was here, I was glad to see that they had permanently added the nashville hot chicken sandwich to the menu. for a place in new england they knock it out of the park. if they find themselves in the opposite, they will not be deceived from the location in a place with a food store and a walgreens. this place is worth a visit.

We came tonight with my father-in-law. The boys got the meatloaf (with potatoes and carrots that were perfectly roasted and a brown gravy that was delicious) the fish sandwich (perfectly breaded and fried) which they both raved about. I got the beet salad with chicken which had perfectly roasted small beets, these great toasted almonds and a great combination of whipped ricotta, greens and citrus. They always have a decent selection of beer on tap and the wait staff is friendly and efficient. One of our favorite spots. I would recommend a reservation on the weekend.

What a hidden gem! The beet salad blew me away. I honestly did not think it would be so amazing. I think it was the best salad I have ever eaten.

Don't count on pick up time...its never right. It's not that hard, figure it out and stop wasting people's time....food went down hill too.

Amazing staff, great beer selection, killer cocktails but the chef is the real treasure. Go here for brunch and experience ecstasy beyond what you imagined was possible. I wish I could rate this place 6 stars.
