Italian Affair - Glassboro

Eating was decent enough. but the waiter could be better. he never gave the shim for the chair to keep it from baptism on the uneven. he didn't know there were two lamb-coop entrees on the menu, a special one, so we didn't get the one we really wanted. the chocolate cake was dry, but they took it off. the cappuccino at the end of the meal was in a small cup. next time we get americano. they had taken up. it is worth a try.

Welcomed to the restaurant by three people at the front desk each less interested than the other in helping us find a seat in a nearly empty restaurant at 4:30 PM on a Saturday. Spent five minutes trying to prove we had a reservation at 4::45 pm (which we finally did show them). Hardly made eye contact and not a single friendly comment with masks covering the smiles we assumed were absent. We should have known what we were in for at the restaurant. We made it through an awkward dinner and asked for the leftovers to be packed with 2 desserts we wanted to bring home. The food left the table and a small plastic bag came back out obviously missing something. We asked if the desserts were with the food or if the food was put in the same container. We were yelled at by the waitress, “I put everything in there!!” A few minutes later she brought the forgotten items in a separate bag without even a hint of apology or comment. We had seen reviews where the management went ballistic on the reviewers. We thought it was an anomaly, but attitude that evening seems pervasive. The waitress started off super pleasant and literally had her head spinning in a circle at the moment we questioned the small to-go bag. We really wanted to like this cigarette odor laden Italian restaurant and support local business but from front door to doggie-bag we were unpleasantly surprised.

Mediocre food for way too much money. Plus they don't list the prices on it ?? the menu. They make you look it up with a QR code. That started us out on a bad foot. We were charged extra for different salad dressing and also additional for scampi sauce that should have been on the pasta to begin with. Felt like I was my time and money. The owner seemed very nice, but I certainly won't be back.

Food is the best... love the lollipop lamb chops not to mention the pasta is incredible but they're pizza the best. Also I'm in love with the owner's mother, she was our waitress a number of times and she's always fantastic.. She baked a homemade Strawberry Shortcake that was to die for
