The Town Tavern - Glasgow City

Would just like to thank all the staff for a lovely visit. Food was amazing, great value and with no corners cut, every one commented on how good their meals were! Staff attentive without being annoying and bar staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back soon.

Absolutely shocking customer service!! When we arrived they asked specifically for passports which isnt a mandatory form of ID. We had to physically bribe the pub “owner” to allow us in which is completely Disgusting and humiliating especially at such an older age. If you knew any customer service at all you would know that the first rule is the customer is always right! This woman then told us that she was “only joking” after we named people whom which she knew. There was a gentleman behind the bar who was serving, he was absolutely fantastic and knew exactly how to treat customers. Closer to the end of the night, the woman behind the bar, Lesley, was extremely rude. She didnt serve us for at least 15 minutes and I shouted on her not by her name as i did not know her name and she told every single one of her cutomers apart from me “I am not serving that little girl she has got a stinking attitude” so I walked away and then after thinking about it, I took my way to the bar to express my apology as I had felt I hurt this womans feelings but she just embarrassed me infront of every customer she had and did not serve me the rest of the night, which having a customer service qualification I know is totally wrong as I did not do anything harmful and I shouldnt even have apologised! This pub is atrocious and I will notnreturn to pay them money for the extremely poor quality they provide. Especially Lesley as she made me feel terrible for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

Positive and friendly atmosphere. Pool table before live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Easy access to small back garden patio. One of the best pints of Tennents available! Crisp and very cold!

Place looks great and so friendly staff me and my gran went one for a bite to eat and the staff went away there to somthing, which was on the menu for my gran and the eating was amazin could not fail thanks to for a nice visit to return in any case
