I have visited smug many times! The staff is friendly and the coffee is excellent. The turkey, bacon, and brie bagel is absolutely delicious.

The best London fog I have ever had. My friends and I enjoyed hanging out here before class. Food was decent as well.

Had the Lentil Soup which was good to warm me up on another rainy day. The cafe did not have a lot of people in it but it looked like you could come in for a coffee and spend the day on your PC or Tablet without getting disturbed. There was a good choice of bagels but not a good choice of scones or cakes. The staff were efficient and friendly. They also have tables outside where you could sit when the sun shines. Maybe I picked the wrong day. At least you do not get hurried out the door as soon as you have finished your food which often happens on Byres Rd cafes.
