Gwr - Glasgow City

This restaurant is a wonderful and cozy place, located in a charming building. It is unfortunate that they are now closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, hopefully just temporarily due to staffing or financial issues. To those who are complaining about the closure, perhaps they could help by sending some staff their way. It would be great to see more locals using this restaurant for events and celebrations, as it would be a shame to see it go out of business.

Fish and chips lunch with homemade batter, mushy peas, tartare sauce and chips for 7.95...outstanding. Everything freshly made on the premises and absolutely delicious.

To be honest I never thought I'd give this place a 5/5 again. It is expensive but they have started doing deals so we went for the Tuesday fish and chip deal which was fantastic. The fish was delicious and the house wine was decent. Lovely welcome and service from a lady who was fairly new to the restaurant. This might become our local once more

So , not really one for righting reviews, but, I’ve just had the best Sunday dinner in years here! Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a meal so much! The beef was moist and cooked well. The veg was cooked to perfection, Al dente. The cauliflower cheese was AMAZING! Will definitely return !

We had a fantastic vegan meal at this restaurant, and the service was excellent. It's a wonderful neighborhood spot with a diverse menu. We will definitely return soon.
