Zizzi - Glasgow West End

Quite frankly the most unprofessional, incompetent and restaurant I 've ever had the misfortune of visiting. A clueless bunch of amateurs. I actually thought it was a wind up with Ant Dec ready to jump out any second. Arrived at 730pm, ordered drinks all fine. 15mins later waiter started taking our orders starters and mains.Then the fun began. Numerous items off the menu and the feeble excuses started about short staffed and no having the food prepared. The main course arrived at 9pm, not the starters 75minutes after we ordered! I questioned where the starters were so they took main courses away and tried again. We got free drinks as an apology then as another waiter said we didn 't order starters!? The original waiter had disappeared by this point and was never seen again. 915pm starters appeared and then my wife 's starter was stone cold in the middle. It took another 20MINUTES for hers to return warm. 955pm main courses arrived brick solid, burnt on top. They messed up my order too. It looked like they had been put in the oven to keep warm for the last hour. Horrible, inedible muck worse than a microwave meal for one. None of us could stomach it and the funny part was a sticker saying 'too hot to handle ' was placed on the dish! By this time enough was enough and we left. The manager said it was on the house as an apology good job because here was no way I was paying for that disaster. Probably about £150 worth of business lost on her part. The manager was very apologetic but it is quite easily the worst meal and the worst service I have EVER experienced. The manager 's job is simple but she failed miserably. She was clueless. The staff all looked like they were just out of school standing doing nothing. The waiter was apparently 'on loan ' from another restaurant. No excuse for being a clown though is it? Perhaps find a new career mate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS Saturday night and it was mostly empty alarm bells should rang when we walked in but that us an experience never to be forgotten.

If I could rate this higher than 5 I would! We went on a Saturday afternoon for my Dad’s birthday and from the minute we arrived the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful They hid Dad’s cake until the end and all sang him a Happy Birthday as they brought it out!!

Food and drinks are really good, very very tasty and abundant. But service leaves so much to be desired. Very slow and disappearing. We were always looking to find where someone was to add something to our order, or ask for food etc. Shame because the pizza was excellent!

Overall quite disappointing We should’ve known when we arrived for a pre-booked table and were left standing at the entrance for approaching 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. We had to go and grab the guy at the bar to sort us out. The restaurant wasn’t half full at 7:30 on Saturday night and began to empty after we arrived. Tables were a riot of used and uncleared dishes. Staff were running about mad without any direction or, mostly, standing looking at the kitchen, waiting for things to be sent out, and ignoring the customers. It took us until 8:08 until our drinks arrived. Our starters arrived quickly thereafter and then a few minutes later they arrived again before they realised their mistake. The food was unremarkable and fine but the chaos of the organisation was palpable. This impacted on our experience and we left very disappointed. We won’t bother coming back, there are so many better places. The management obviously haven’t staffed the place properly and weren’t running it well which is a shame.

My son bought from here tonight it must be the worst I've ever had pizza was cold and burnt bag of chips if you can call it that a hand full of frozen hard chips were over cooked and inedible. The delivery guy must have know they were frozen handing them over. I think he couldn't find the address my son had to go out to look for him told my son to call yous himself he said it was uber eats that deliverd it Never Buy From Here Again!! Wouldn't eat it if it was free!
